CORONAVIRUS ADVICE

It has been a long time since we have been able to get away in our Motorhomes and enjoy the freedom to roam the country. However, the Government is reviewing this, and we will soon be able to book our holidays.

Government suggested dates for re-opening campsites

UK                          4th July 2020
Scotland               15th July 2020
N Ireland             20th July 2020
Wales                    No dates

Before you can plan and book your holidays you must check with the campsite as each one may vary what safety measures and compliance’s, they offer campers. Things to look out for are:

Number of pitches available, as these may be reduced

Social distancing

Cleaning facilities

Shower facilities – how will this be operated to keep you safe

Will cafes, bars, swimming pools and other facilities be open

Campsite Compliance’s

In order for the campsites to open, they will have to comply with the COVID-19 secure guidelines published by the Government.  These have not yet been released and may delay the opening of campsites further from the suggested dates.

Foreign Travel

Although France, Italy and Spain have re-opened many of their campsites to tourists, the UK Foreign Office currently advises against it except for essential international travel.

Please check the Government and Foreign Travel Agency for update information.
